About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and lead the enterprise hardware and software asset management strategy
- Establish and mature asset management capabilities aligned with governance requirements
- Partner across IT, finance, legal, and operations to deliver a consistent global asset management function
- Provide functional ownership of ServiceNow SAM Pro, ITAM, and Contracts
- Maintain integrity of asset, entitlement, contract, and inventory data
- Lead software licensing governance activities to ensure compliance
- Oversee full hardware asset lifecycle including procurement and retirement
- Drive optimization activities including reclamation, renewals, and cost control initiatives
- Support and influence vendor negotiations, contract terms, and renewals
- Develop executive dashboards and metrics related to compliance and inventory
- Serve as escalation point for complex asset management issues
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing global team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Extensive progressive experience in IT asset management, software asset management, licensing, or vendor management
- Experience leading teams or enterprise programmes in complex environments
- Deep experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro
- Working experience with ServiceNow ITAM and Contracts
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and familiarity with Apptio or similar platforms
- Proven experience managing software licensing, compliance, and multi-vendor environments
- Strong understanding of asset lifecycle processes including automation, reconciliation, and optimization
- Experience with hardware inventory management, valuation, and audit readiness
