About the role
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements, translating them into actionable data solutions using Power BI
- Develop and design interactive dashboards and reports, ensuring accuracy and visual appeal to support decision-making across multiple computing domains
- Perform data transformation, data modeling, and data cleaning using Power BI tools (Power Query, DAX) to prepare data for analysis
- Integrate Power BI solutions with other Microsoft Power Platform tools (e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps) to streamline workflows and automate business processes
- Optimize Power BI performance, managing report refresh schedules, managing Workspaces and Apps, and ensuring efficient data retrieval from various sources
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and training to end-users, ensuring proper adoption and effective use of Power BI solutions
Requirements
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain a Special Compartmented Investigation (SCI) is required to be considered for this role
- BS degree in engineering
- 5+ years demonstrated experience in systems engineering
- 4+ years with system specification, verification, or analysis
- Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools used to support requirements development and traceability
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Organization capability with ability to handle competing priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to customers, senior leaders, and stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- The ability to work in a secure, confined location (i.e., SCIF)
- Preferred: Certifications in Systems Engineering (INCOSE ESEP, CSEP)
- Preferred: Certifications in MBSE (OCSMP)
- Preferred: Certifications in Agile Development
- Preferred: Knowledge and experience in Jira and Confluence
- Preferred: Experience with MILSATCOM, such as AEHF, EPS, WGS, and FAB-T terminal programs
- Preferred: Experience working with military or DoD civilian clients
- Preferred: Experience with ground and airborne systems, such as terminals and networks
