About the role
- Perform electrical engineering design for onshore and/or offshore oil and gas facilities
- Responsible for studies, designs, specifications, and services related to HV, MV, LV switchgear, MV VFDs, distribution systems, etc.
- Have experience on HV, MV and LV systems/ancillaries, including transformers, etc.
- Have handled electrical packages such as UPS, distribution boards, or supported mechanical packages by reviewing engineering documents
- Have database engineering experience, developing load lists, cable schedules, control schematics, etc.
- Able to perform technical bid evaluations for basic electrical packages
- Key deliverables include: Electrical Design Basis, Electrical Equipment List, Electrical MTO, Electrical Load List & Power Summary, Electrical Single Line Diagrams, Switch gear and transformer datasheet, Power System Studies (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting), Substation Layout Drawings, Main Power Cable Routing Drawings, Hazardous Area Classification, Electrical Equipment Data Sheets, Interface definition with power company, Preliminary Electrical cable routing, UPS/backup requirements for safety critical systems, Earthing/grounding requirements, Lighting Study, Lightening Protection requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of experience with electrical design involving offshore and/or onshore oil & gas/power/industrial plant electrical power and distribution systems
- Familiarity with global electrical codes, standards, and regulations, i.e., IEC/BSI, etc.
- Knowledge of electrical systems for assessment/compliance studies and reports
- Good understanding of electrical system design
- Possess relevant experience working on Feasibility Study/ Pre-FEED/ FEED projects with reputed International clients
- Experience in Onshore (LNG, power, CCS, refinery, petrochemical, bio-fuels, renewable, low carbon fuels) and Offshore projects
- Good knowledge of control system architecture and functionality
