About the role

  • Assess the structural integrity of components.
  • Conduct strength, fatigue, creep and defect tolerance assessments.
  • Write bespoke software tools to assess components.
  • Deliver and lead projects across Frazer-Nash portfolio.
  • Meet and communicate with customers to understand requirements.
  • Work across our business and with our clients.
  • Support others in the team with project delivery.

Requirements

  • A degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Technical knowledge in the mechanical / structural engineering domain.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (such as Abaqus, Ansys or SC03).
  • Experience in different failure mechanisms, such as strength, fatigue (low cycle and high cycle fatigue), creep and fracture.
  • It would be advantageous, but not essential, if a candidate has: Experience in a technical consultancy environment.
  • Experience of business development.
  • Experience of building client relationships.
  • Experience of project management.
