About the role
- Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, from initial RFP analysis to submission
- Coordinate with subject matter experts, writers, and contributors to gather necessary information for proposal content
- Provides leadership and direction to managers or professional staff
- Develop and maintain proposal schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines
- Identify and allocate resources effectively to meet proposal requirements
- Write, edit, and review proposal content for clarity, consistency, and compliance with client requirements
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to translate complex information into compelling proposals
- Conduct thorough reviews to ensure proposals meet the highest quality standards
- Implement best practices in proposal development to enhance overall quality and competitiveness
- Interact with BD and Operations personnel to clarify requirements and address queries during the proposal development process
- Foster positive relationships across teams through professional and effective communication
- Contribute to maintaining a repository of proposal content, templates, and reusable materials to streamline future proposal development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field
- 12+ years of proven experience in proposal management, business development, or a related field, 3 of which should be in management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management tools
- Master's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field (preferred)
- Professional certifications in proposal management and/or project management (preferred)
- Experience in a similar industry or with complex technical proposals (preferred)
- Familiarity with government contracting processes (preferred)
- Demonstrated success in winning competitive proposals (preferred)
