About the role

  • Join our team as a Structural Engineer in Incirlik, Turkey.
  • Perform engineering and planning activities aligned with U.S. Air Force standards.
  • Deliver essential structural analyses and pathology reports.
  • Develop design solutions to rectify deficiencies as part of project objectives.
  • Maintain effective communication to update leadership and customers on project status.
  • Maintain and update the NexGenIT software database or successor systems.
  • Provide leadership and design project execution oversight for various contracts including design, A&E, design-build, IDIQ, MACC, and service contracts.
  • Manage design programs for facility and infrastructure projects, ensuring timely completion.
  • Provide structural analysis, pathology reports, and design solutions for structural deficiencies.
  • Develop short, medium, and long-term plans for installation complexes, optimizing space utilization.
  • Develop contracting packages, oversee project execution, and collaborate with engineers on multi-discipline projects.
  • Provide engineering support for agency projects, coordinating with entities like AFCEC, USACE, NAVFAC, NATO, and DLA.
  • Conduct project acceptance inspections, complete contract closure documents, and ensure submission of as-builts and manuals.
  • Serve as liaison for projects with AFCEC, USACE, NAVFAC, NATO, DLA, or other third-party agencies.
  • Drive service improvement while reducing costs by suggesting enhancements in procedures, technology, and human resources for improved productivity and quality.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen
  • 3 years of Structural Engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Architecture from an accredited college or university, or approved equivalent
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Shall have or be able to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance
  • Training in Security Engineering UFC 4-010-01, demonstrating proficiency in antiterrorism standards for building design and engineering.
  • English proficiency: Reading Level III, Written Level III, Verbal Level III
  • Class B (passenger vehicle) driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & AutoCAD or similar software.
  • DoD installation-level experience
  • 6 years of project engineering experience for major real property facilities
  • 6 years of experience in design and management of capital projects
  • Experience in planning, programming, scoping, and executing multi-discipline facility and infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with American and Turkish facility design standards
  • Knowledgeable in developing and executing multi-discipline construction projects, evaluating contract schedules, and preparing construction reports.
  • Familiarity with engineering principles, materials, specification writing, USAF contracting procedures, engineering equipment, and surveying essential.
  • Familiarity with construction practices in host nations (HN) preferred.
