About the role

  • **What You’ll Contribute:**
  • Kaufman Rossin is seeking an experienced Tax Manager with M&A experience to join our dynamic Tax Advisory Services team. This leadership role focuses on supporting corporate and private equity clients through buy-side and sell-side transactions, delivering high-quality tax due diligence, structuring advice, and transaction modeling.
  • - Support corporate and private equity clients in connection with buy-side and sell-side transactions, including tax due diligence, transaction structuring, and tax modeling.
  • - Lead and manage tax due diligence engagements from planning through report delivery.
  • - Prepare and present tax due diligence findings and comprehensive reports to senior management, executive stakeholders, and client leadership teams.
  • - Lead technical tax research on complex issues and develop practical tax planning strategies within the context of transactions.
  • - Analyze and advise on Subchapter C, Subchapter K, and other U.S. federal corporate and partnership tax matters related to M&A activity.
  • - Review tax provisions in merger agreements and legal documents and provide structuring insights.
  • - Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, managing multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment.
  • - Collaborate closely with Partners and Directors on complex technical matters.
  • - Mentor and develop Associates and Seniors, reviewing work product and providing meaningful feedback.
  • - Ensure compliance with Kaufman Rossin’s quality control and engagement management standards.

Requirements

  • **What Skills You’ll Bring**
  • - CPA or JD required.
  • - 4–5+ years of public accounting experience, with exposure to tax due diligence, transaction tax, or M&A tax advisory.
  • - Strong knowledge of U.S. federal corporate and partnership tax principles.
  • - Experience working directly with clients and managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • - Strong technical research, analytical, and tax modeling capabilities.
  • - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex tax matters for non-tax audiences.
  • - Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
