About the role

Building, developing, and enabling high-performing teams that deliver outstanding products is the primary responsibility for our Engineering Managers.
You are passionate about software development, but you find even more fulfillment in building the right team, removing obstacles, supporting others, and creating transparency and alignment rather than being an individual contributor.
Based on your experience, you will start by leading the engineers of one product team in a you-build-it-you-run-it environment, with a clear prospect to expand to multiple teams as your responsibilities and impact grow.
Depending on team size and setup, you will remain reasonably hands-on, especially where technical guidance, architectural decisions, code reviews, or complex problem-solving are required.
You will help our engineers grow both personally and professionally — not only by advancing their skills, but also by inspiring them with purpose.
You will ensure our product teams leverage (new) technologies to build products customers love and that deliver business value.
You are accountable for the delivery and reliability of your teams’ products, balancing scope, quality, performance, and operational stability in a high-traffic B2C environment.
You will contribute to strategic initiatives that extend beyond your team(s), such as raising the engineering bar, improving guidelines, and defining how we work as an organization.

You have experience working in cross-functional product teams and possess extensive experience in engineering scalable web applications.
You are an experienced Engineering Manager who approaches technical challenges pragmatically, selecting tools and architectures that fit both the problem domain and the organization. This typically includes TypeScript, Vue.js, modern frontend tooling, and backend integrations with Node.js/PHP.
You demonstrate an outstanding sense of ownership, passion, and drive that energizes those around you.
You communicate clearly and effectively, know how to create alignment, and understand what matters — especially in a remote and distributed setup.
You already have managerial experience building successful teams and are motivated to continue growing as an effective Engineering Manager.
You are a natural go-to person within your organization, mentoring other engineers and helping them develop and succeed.
You are willing to go the extra mile to make your team successful; you give honest feedback and are able to discuss, commit, and execute.
You are fluent in English (C1) and enjoy working in an international environment.
