About the role

  • Develop cutting-edge technology and design scalable, robust backend solutions for our Kaufland marketplaces as part of your daily work
  • Own end-to-end feature development, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and production monitoring
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and other engineers, communicating effectively to reach shared goals
  • Contribute to the evolution of our development processes and methodologies by exploring new tools and technologies that enhance our engineering practices
  • Write clean, maintainable, and high-performance code while following best practices
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers during pair programming sessions, fostering a culture of learning and growth

Requirements

  • University degree in (business) information technology, (business) engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent practical experience
  • Significant experience in backend development with strong, hands-on expertise in PHP and/or Golang demonstrated in real-world projects
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, databases, and microservices architecture; familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • A drive for continuous personal and team development to improve steadily every day
  • Excellent communication skills, a willingness to embrace our company culture and values, and enjoyment of working in an international, English-speaking team
