About the role
- Support end-to-end Record to Report (RTR) processes including General Ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Access databases for financial data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Extract, transform, and validate data from SAP (FI/CO) into Access databases for business reporting and audit support.
- Develop queries, forms, macros, and reports in MS Access to support finance and accounting teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including variance analysis and reconciliations.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies between SAP and Access-based reports.
- Work closely with IT, finance, and audit teams to enhance reporting automation and efficiency.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in SAP RTR / SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting).
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Access (queries, forms, reports, VBA preferred).
- Solid understanding of financial accounting processes and month-end close cycles.
- Experience in data extraction, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience working in shared services or global finance environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance is a plus.
- Exposure to audit, compliance, or SOX-related activities is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
