• Test the limits of tools like Runway Gen-4, Sora, Kling, Veo 3, and Luma Ray3 — document what works and what's still unsolved
• Translate the Creative Director's vision into technical experiments, from shot-level briefs to full pipeline design
• Build workarounds for gaps in the tooling — or identify when something upstream needs to change
• Partner with Katapult's leadership on AI strategy, platform automation, and frontier tool evaluation
• Stay ahead of the research — not just flagship releases, but the GitHub repos and Discord communities that are months ahead of the public narrative

AI Cinematography R&D Engineer

Full-stack Engineer

• Architect and Build: Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using TypeScript, React, Node.js (NestJS/Fastify/Express), and PostgreSQL.
• AI Implementation: Create AI/LLM-powered features that enhance productivity and personalization for end-users.
• System Integration: Integrate the platform with third-party services such as Salesforce, Shopify, Google, and Microsoft to enable efficient data exchange and secure authentication workflows.
• Technical Leadership: Lead experiments and proof-of-concepts, upholding code quality through rigorous testing (Jest, React Testing Library) and thorough peer reviews.
• Collaboration: Engage actively in agile methodologies (Scrum) to manage timelines, prioritize work, and deliver high-impact milestones.
• Growth & Mentorship: Mentor team members, optimize codebase performance, and uphold best practices in software architecture.

Full Stack Developer

Chief of Staff

• Own 3–4 client engagements simultaneously, serving as the strategic partner each founder works with directly
• Lead SWAT phases: embed with founders, map product and business landscape, and define the fastest path to shipped value
• Assemble and lead custom teams (engineers, designers, PMs, project managers) tailored to each client's needs
• Conduct founder-level conversations about business strategy and translate them into product architecture, backlogs, and shipped outcomes
• Connect dots between market trends, data, and founder vision to identify opportunities and make senior strategy and product recommendations
• Direct AI-native engineering workflows (Claude Code, agentic workflows, frontier models) and coach teams on AI co-creation
• Continuously evaluate whether what's being built is generating real user value — and course-correct when it's not
• Identify new product opportunities and engagements that could scale into standalone ventures

Chief Marketing Officer

• Design and run rapid marketing experiments across channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, content marketing, email, podcast clips, case studies, partnerships) with clear hypotheses, minimum viable assets, and short timelines
• Own positioning and messaging: develop and refine how Katapult communicates its value to different segments (pre-seed founders, Series A CTOs, VCs looking for portfolio resources)
• Build the content machine: capture raw material from founder calls, podcast conversations, product builds, and AI workflow innovations, and turn it into a steady stream of blog posts, LinkedIn thought leadership, short-form video, case studies, and demos
• Drive top-of-funnel growth: create the fastest path to qualified inbound conversations through VC distribution channels, organic content, community presence, paid experiments, or new approaches
• Write compelling copy across all formats — content that sounds like someone who understands what founders are going through, not agency copywriting
• Track, analyze, and report on key marketing and funnel metrics (open rate, reply rate, conversion rate, pipeline velocity) to refine strategies continuously
• Collaborate closely with the founder (Tomás) to shape ICP definition, pricing conversations, and product positioning
• Help shape Katapult's long-term brand strategy as the company evolves from services to venture studio to potential in-house products
