About the role
- Act as a key partner to senior clients, aligning brand and business strategies to drive growth.
- Champion and refine our strategic planning process, pushing the boundaries of communication strategy.
- Lead strategic direction for flagship clients, collaborating closely with Account, Media, and Creative Directors to shape integrated communication strategies.
- Leverage consumer psychology to transform business challenges into innovative, brand-driven solutions.
- Own comprehensive brand strategy projects from concept to execution, including brand positioning and messaging platforms.
- Guide the development of creative briefs, ensuring they are rooted in insights that drive actionable and impactful creative work.
- Lead qualitative and quantitative research efforts to uncover deep consumer insights that inform brand strategies.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to align internal teams and clients on strategic priorities.
- Lead and mentor a small team of strategists, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality strategic work.
- Optimize strategy workflows to enhance efficiency while maintaining creative integrity.
- Serve as a thought leader within the agency, driving initiatives that position Karsh Hagan as an industry innovator.
- Contribute to new business pitches and growth initiatives by developing compelling strategic recommendations.
- Monitor industry trends and shifts in consumer behavior, adapting strategies to keep brands culturally relevant.
- Simplify complex concepts into clear, actionable plans that resonate with both clients and internal teams.
- Generate strategic recommendations that influence decision-making at the highest levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, psychology, or related field (advanced degrees in consumer psychology or behavioral sciences are a plus).
- 10+ years of experience in brand strategy, consumer psychology, or account planning within an advertising, marketing, design firm or consulting firm.
- Strong proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Excellent writing, storytelling, and communication skills—capable of turning strategic insights into compelling narratives.
- Proven experience leading strategic initiatives and delivering impactful presentations to senior stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and creative problem-solving skills that drive innovative brand solutions.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
