About the role

  • Maintain export-control-relevant master data for our international KARL STORZ subsidiaries.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements in foreign trade law — including German, European and U.S. export control regulations.
  • Monitor processes and ensure that all legal requirements are met.
  • Apply for, manage and monitor authorizations/licenses within the framework of export control.
  • Coordinate required authorizations and monitor their status.
  • Conduct sanctions list screenings for international sites — including checks against national legislations.
  • Actively contribute to the strategic development of foreign trade at KARL STORZ and continuously optimize processes and strategies.

Requirements

  • At least three years of professional experience in a comparable position
  • Commercial background with additional qualification in customs and foreign trade
  • Confident use of ERP systems, ideally SAP GTS
  • Excellent judgement and strong analytical thinking
  • Confident handling of legal texts and good technical understanding
  • Independent, responsible and structured way of working
  • Very good written and spoken English
