About the role
- Demonstrate excellent teaching skills and engage students through in-person and virtual classroom instruction
- Serve as an industry expert and Kaplan brand ambassador for clients and students
- Mentor and drive student success by tailoring teaching to individual learning styles
- Deliver instruction based on pre-prepared lesson plans and syllabi
- Communicate regularly with product line management and operations to stay informed of scheduling changes, curriculum updates, and class assignments
- Prepare for and conduct classes, including remote delivery and occasional onsite teaching
Requirements
- 10+ years of financial services industry experience
- Previous teaching or training experience preferred, but not required
- Proficient in at least three of the following: Life and Health Licensing; Property and Casualty Licensing; Insurance Continuing Education; Securities Qualification Exams - Registered Representative level; Securities Qualification Exams - Principal level
- Completion of a post-secondary degree preferred, or equivalent professional designation
- Ability to travel to onsite teaching locations if necessary
- Capable of standing and sitting for extended periods, often up to 8 hours, with limited breaks
- Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to effectively utilize technology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptability to new teaching methods and alteration in course materials as needed
- Time management and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and approachability
- Reliable internet via WiFi through ethernet connection preferred
