About the role
- Creates satisfied and referenceable customers.
- Strictly applies and adheres to project governance procedures.
- Ensures all deliverables are completed on time, within budget, within defined scope, at expected level of quality and in accordance with contractual commitments.
- Ensures teams are adhering to methodology and maintains program and project level project schedules leveraging project management best practices.
- Manages change control process to keep project on track and manages established change control process to maintain commercial and timeline alignment.
- Establishes and promotes collaborative and supportive project team culture, providing positive feedback and encouragement, inspiring excellent performance and value to clients.
- Completes weekly client status reports and bi-weekly pulse reports, and leads client steerco meetings in coordination with client project manager.
- Communicates relevant information with clarity and brevity.
- Applies superior ability to assess project risks and initiates appropriate risk response strategies and action plans, significantly reducing the volume and severity of project issues.
- Addresses project issues promptly and efficiently to ensure they are resolved with minimal impact to the project, leveraging appropriate Kantata and client resources.
- Ensures clients are planning and preparing for post-implementation self-sufficiency, including solution administration, superuser support and change management.
- Recognizes potential billing issues and proactively resolves ahead of billing dates to avoid invoicing disputes and/or payment delays.
- Maintains task level EAC to ensure accurate revenue reporting and forecasting.
- Manages projects with financials in mind to ensure revenue can be recognized on a timely basis.
- Proactively alerts resource managers to changes in allocations and resource release dates.
- Expert in project management best practices and drives methodology and process improvements.
Requirements
- Experience in the software / services industry within the role of a senior level Project Manager
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage large, global, complex enterprise projects
- Experience of working in the Professional Services / Consulting market with a sound understanding of the underlying business model and business processes
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including C-level
- A recognized Project Management qualification is desirable but not mandatory
- Training in Project Management discipline is a must
- Experience of the PSA software category is desirable but not mandatory
- Knowledge of the Salesforce Force.com platform is desirable but not mandatory
- Strong team spirit and desire to work in a collaborative environment
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- 7+ yrs in the role of a Project manager with progressively larger and more complex projects
- Hands on experience of running waterfall projects, agile projects additionally a plus.
