National Service Engineer
Kaeser Compressors USANational Service Engineer at Kaeser Compressors providing technical solutions for industrial equipment. Evaluating and supporting service operations in Fredericksburg, VA.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate new item/parts or our products for feasibility in respect to use, handling, servicing, maintaining, function and practicality
- Assist Technical Service Support and Product Management departments in finding alternatives and solutions to problems
- Assist in inspecting and evaluating defective items returned under warranty
- Instruct and support the Training Department for Kaeser service and maintenance schools
- Assist with performing compressor performance test in the field and in-house
- Provide technical assistance to Branches, Distributors and customers as required
- Provide telephone and email troubleshooting support to the Technical Service Support department
- Extensive travel to the jobsite – 30% or more
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- Extensive hands-on and practical experience in the air compression industry or a minimum of 3 years’ industrial equipment mechanical aptitude
- Extensive experience reading mechanical blueprints and electric diagrams
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Good communication skills/phone skills required
- Computer skills, including proficiency in Google Workspace
- SAP experience preferred
- Regular physical attendance at the worksite
