About the role
- Develop, implement, track and verify the effectiveness of concepts and measures to ensure excellent product quality throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Define quality standards at both product and process levels.
- Serve as sub-project lead for quality and manage quality planning in development projects to ensure product quality at series start.
- Responsible for compliance with project Quality Gates.
- Manage quality control loops to analyze internal quality issues and customer field failures, and to derive and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Conduct internal and external audits and ensure consistent follow-up on corrective measures.
- Support and develop suppliers and ensure the implementation of defined quality standards for purchased parts.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a comparable qualification.
- 10 years of relevant professional experience in quality within an industrial company, ideally in special vehicle manufacturing, municipal, agricultural or construction machinery.
- Strong quality awareness and a high level of assertiveness.
- Systemic, goal-oriented problem-solving skills for complex issues.
- Confident use of standard quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa and 5-Why.
- Experience conducting supplier audits and developing suppliers.
- Auditor qualification is desirable.
- Occasional willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Business-fluent German and very good English skills.
