About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Development of robust and scalable C++ applications for industrial machines and automation platforms
Design and implementation of software components using modern programming principles, including Python where applicable
Analysis of technical requirements and translation into efficient and maintainable software architectures
Integration of software modules with machine control systems and hardware environments
Troubleshooting, debugging, and continuous optimization of existing software solutions
Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as electrical engineering, mechanical design, and project management
Support of commissioning activities both remotely and on-site where required
Optional involvement in PLC programming (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal) for automation systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Strong experience in C++ development and Python programming
Experience in object-oriented design and software architecture
Familiarity with industrial software or automation environments is a plus
Knowledge of PLC programming (e.g. Siemens S7, TIA Portal) is an advantage
Understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g. PROFINET, OPC UA) is beneficial
Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN
Analytical mindset with a structured and solution-oriented working style
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Fluent English skills
Willingness to travel occasionally (~25%)
