About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, cross-functional projects to ensure alignment with client expectations and business objectives
  • Lead project teams, manage budgets and timelines, and serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Define project timelines, scope, and budget in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Oversee full project lifecycle from initiation to closure, including scheduling, resourcing, and execution
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams including engineering, sales, EHSQ, finance, contract management, and customer service
  • Act as the principal contact for all client-facing communications and technical documentation
  • Lead risk management efforts by identifying, assessing, and mitigating project-related risks
  • Monitor project budgets and schedules, proactively managing deviations to maintain financial and operational integrity
  • Conduct performance reviews and lessons-learned analysis at key project milestones and closure
  • Ensure safety compliance in collaboration with site managers and environmental teams
  • Manage all project meetings, including documentation, status updates, and stakeholder communications
  • Oversee specification and contract compliance with third-party vendors and suppliers
  • Provide technical leadership by translating contractual requirements into deliverables for engineering teams
  • Maintain quality assurance standards across all project phases
  • Support issue resolution by leading escalation paths across departments
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in project or program management roles
  • Demonstrated 2+ years of direct leadership experience is preferred
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex technical projects in material handling, logistics, or automation systems
  • Experience working in matrixed and multicultural environments
  • Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and client management capabilities
  • Exceptional project planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SAP, or equivalent)
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen related to cost forecasting and resource planning
  • Ability to problem-solve and adapt strategies based on evolving conditions
  • Cultural competence and experience working with global project teams
  • Effective stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • PMP or similar certification is preferred
  • Eligible applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
