About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, cross-functional projects to ensure alignment with client expectations and business objectives
- Lead project teams, manage budgets and timelines, and serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Define project timelines, scope, and budget in collaboration with stakeholders
- Oversee full project lifecycle from initiation to closure, including scheduling, resourcing, and execution
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams including engineering, sales, EHSQ, finance, contract management, and customer service
- Act as the principal contact for all client-facing communications and technical documentation
- Lead risk management efforts by identifying, assessing, and mitigating project-related risks
- Monitor project budgets and schedules, proactively managing deviations to maintain financial and operational integrity
- Conduct performance reviews and lessons-learned analysis at key project milestones and closure
- Ensure safety compliance in collaboration with site managers and environmental teams
- Manage all project meetings, including documentation, status updates, and stakeholder communications
- Oversee specification and contract compliance with third-party vendors and suppliers
- Provide technical leadership by translating contractual requirements into deliverables for engineering teams
- Maintain quality assurance standards across all project phases
- Support issue resolution by leading escalation paths across departments
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in project or program management roles
- Demonstrated 2+ years of direct leadership experience is preferred
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex technical projects in material handling, logistics, or automation systems
- Experience working in matrixed and multicultural environments
- Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and client management capabilities
- Exceptional project planning and organizational skills
- Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SAP, or equivalent)
- Strong financial and analytical acumen related to cost forecasting and resource planning
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt strategies based on evolving conditions
- Cultural competence and experience working with global project teams
- Effective stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- PMP or similar certification is preferred
- Eligible applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
