About the role
- You prepare shipping and export documents in compliance with current export, customs and import regulations
- You independently plan and coordinate national and international transports by road, sea and air
- In addition, you commission freight forwarders and courier services and ensure smooth coordination of all transport-logistics processes
- You provide the required freight documentation and hand over goods properly to the contracted carriers
- You provide support in the processing of letters of credit
- Maintaining and updating shipping and customs data is also part of your responsibilities
- In addition, you are responsible for the entire export handling including customs and foreign trade documentation
Requirements
- Commercial vocational training as a freight forwarding clerk (Speditionskaufmann) or equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in shipping and customs, as well as in dispatch or logistics, ideally in mechanical engineering or industrial environments
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and transport management systems
- MS Office skills are an advantage
- High sense of responsibility
- Good knowledge of customs and foreign trade law
- Business-fluent German and English
