About the role

  • Independently coordinating all project-related activities during planning, procurement, production, on-site assembly/installation, and commissioning of systems
  • Leading an experienced project team
  • Convening and chairing all project meetings
  • Managing claims vis-à-vis customers and subcontractors
  • Documenting key milestones
  • Taking full responsibility for costs, schedules, and quality
  • Responding to changes in sub-goals and budgets and implementing corrective measures in case of deviations
  • Reporting project progress to divisional and senior management

Requirements

  • Technical training or a degree in mechanical engineering, automation technology, or industrial engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of investment/capital project management, ideally with experience as an architect or civil engineer
  • Several years of professional experience as a project manager, preferably in the logistics industry
  • Additional experience managing turnkey projects is an advantage
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Goal-oriented work approach combined with assertiveness
  • Proficient with MS Office (including MS Project)
  • Good CAD and SAP skills
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 50%; DACH region plus Eastern Europe)
