About the role

  • Independently coordinate all project-related activities during the planning phase
  • Manage procurement, production, on-site assembly/installation and commissioning of systems
  • Maintain close coordination with the customer, subcontractors and authorities
  • Lead an experienced project team
  • Convene and lead all project meetings
  • Handle claim management vis‑à‑vis the customer and subcontractors
  • Document key milestones
  • Take full responsibility for costs, schedules and quality
  • Respond to changes in sub‑goals and the budget
  • Report project progress to divisional and executive management

Requirements

  • Technical training or an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • Several years of professional experience as a Project Manager, preferably from the logistics industry
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Goal-oriented working style combined with assertiveness
  • Confident use of MS Office (including MS Project)
  • Good CAD skills
  • SAP knowledge
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 50% — DACH region plus Eastern Europe)
