About the role

  • coordinate day-to-day project activities across multiple workstreams under the Project Manager, including engineering deliverables, procurement milestones, equipment manufacturing, installation, and commissioning readiness
  • maintain project schedules, milestone trackers, and action logs; monitor dependencies and critical path activities to ensure timely project delivery
  • organize and facilitate project meetings such as kickoffs, weekly execution reviews, risk reviews, and stakeholder updates; document minutes and track follow-up actions
  • maintain comprehensive project documentation including charters, scope statements, change logs, drawings, test plans, commissioning plans, training materials, go-live checklists, and turnover documentation; track risks, issues, decisions, and change requests, escalating as needed
  • collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support MHE installations, system integration, testing, and operational readiness
  • evaluate operational and process impacts of system implementations; support change management activities including communications planning, training coordination, and adoption tracking
  • support project financial tracking including purchase orders, invoices, costs, and budget updates; develop and maintain dashboards and reports tracking KPIs such as schedule adherence, on-time deliverables, commissioning readiness, and operational performance
  • drive Lean or Kaizen initiatives through process mapping, root cause analysis, and development of standard work to enhance project execution and operational performance

Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, industrial engineering, operations management, or related field; or +4 years’ experience in lieu of degree, +2 years with associate’s
  • minimum 3 years’ project coordination experience for degree holders
  • experience supporting large-scale (>$50MM) industrial or capital projects, including warehouse automation, material handling equipment (MHE), distribution infrastructure, or manufacturing
  • proven execution in fast-paced, high-intensity environments
  • knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methods (certification a plus)
  • able to support operational excellence and improvement initiatives
  • skilled at coordinating multiple workstreams and stakeholders, managing deliverables, timelines, and documentation, while identifying risks, dependencies, and schedule conflicts early
  • experienced with WMS/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, Blue Yonder), operational testing/go-live, project tracking tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Jira), and Power BI preferred
  • strong organization and coordination skills
  • able to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and follow-through
  • strong written and verbal communication
  • able to influence, collaborate, and drive action across teams and stakeholders
  • experience with material handling equipment projects (conveyors, sortation, pick modules)
  • Lean/Six Sigma certifications (Yellow/Green Belt) preferred
  • travel 10–20%, higher for short durations
