About the role

  • Independent project controlling and ensuring accurate monthly and quarterly financial closings in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code)
  • Continuous project tracking to ensure transparency of costs, schedules and risks
  • Active role as the commercial sparring partner to project management in project planning, costing, forecasting and controlling of major client projects
  • Preparation of remaining cost estimates and actual-vs.-planned analyses
  • Preparation of meaningful analyses and presentations on cost status for project reviews
  • Active participation in risk and claim management together with technical project management
  • Support of business controlling by providing relevant project data for corporate planning, liquidity planning and extrapolations

Requirements

  • Degree in Economics/Business Administration or comparable qualification with relevant experience
  • Several years of professional experience in project controlling or commercial project management
  • Confident user of MS Office (especially Excel) and ideally experience with SAP (CO/PS/SD)
  • Combination of analytical strength with team skills as well as strong communication and strategic competence
  • Ability to communicate complex commercial issues clearly and to address financial risks at an early stage
  • Independent and proactive working style
  • Excellent German and good English skills, both written and spoken
