About the role

  • develops control system designs, programs, and commissions PLC code
  • creates graphical user interfaces for material handling systems
  • tests code functionality and troubleshoots on-site electrical equipment
  • collaborates with Electrical Engineering on control network architecture
  • defines electrical device requirements
  • supports project estimates
  • recommends productivity and cost improvements
  • designs and develops control systems for material handling automation projects
  • travels to customer sites and project locations up to 70% of the time, including short-duration assignments and multiple 10/4 rotations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field required
  • 1-3 years of work experience in the material handling industry or a similar industry required
  • experience with Rockwell Automation PLC programming, including GuardLogix
  • Siemens TIA Portal PLC programming, and Starter
  • experience with Ethernet/IP network architecture
  • experience interpreting electrical schematic drawings and understanding HMI programming
  • basic troubleshooting skills for PLC and electrical equipment
