About the role

  • Respond to service calls to assess and restore the performance of installed systems and equipment
  • Participate in equipment installation, trial runs, testing, repairs, and overhauls of parcel and postal logistics systems
  • Assist in training customers on the operation, care, and preventive maintenance of installed equipment and systems
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tools, test equipment, and installed systems, documenting all inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and failures
  • Recommend modifications or improvements to enhance system functionality, reliability, and efficiency
  • Support performance evaluations of installed systems based on field data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Identify technical issues as they occur and take appropriate, timely actions to resolve them safely and effectively
  • Collaborate with project management, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure seamless project delivery and sustained system performance

Requirements

  • Exposure working with Allen-Bradley and Siemens family PLCs
  • Experience working with PLC's, HMI's, VFD's, MCC's and electrical power distribution systems
  • Understanding of Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, ASI Bus, and Modbus TCP industrial control/IT networks
  • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving in industrial environments
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges and tasks
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel on short notice and spend up to 50% of work time traveling
  • Availability to work during off-hours, including weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience troubleshooting electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment, with some experience in automated material handling systems preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school certification or associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical technology preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a plus
