About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop and deliver AI-powered features end-to-end: from proof of concept to production on our partner's stack (Angular, Node/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Azure)
Evaluate and integrate AI/ML services, APIs, and open-source models to solve real customer problems (document processing, root-cause analysis, ERP/MES integrations)
Shape the AI/ML tech stack with real ownership over tools, frameworks, and architecture
Build and maintain evaluation frameworks to ensure AI outputs meet quality, reliability, and safety standards
Collaborate with product and engineering teams, identify high-impact AI opportunities, and grow AI competency across the team.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with proven hands-on AI/ML experience (e.g., LLM integration, data pipelines, ML model deployment)
Strong software engineering fundamentals: writing well-structured application code (not just notebooks or scripts) using modern development practices
Experience with modern AI/ML frameworks such as LangChain/LangGraph, vector databases, and OpenAI APIs
Familiarity with TypeScript and web frameworks
Ability to move quickly from proof of concept to production, with an experimental yet methodical approach
Strong conceptual thinking — able to connect the dots and communicate technical trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Professional proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken).
