About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own reconciliations and monthly activity for assigned accounts, including prepaids, commissions, and rebate reserves
Prepare recurring journal entries and month-end accruals
Administer distributor rebate programs and review customer deductions and claims for contract compliance
Serve as a key point of contact for intercompany transactions with trading partners
Partner with non-finance stakeholders to determine the correct accounting treatment for sales deductions and expenses
Support year-end audit requests by preparing schedules, documentation, and account support for assigned areas
Compile information needed for state and local sales tax filings across monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual cycles
Help maintain strong internal controls by following and reinforcing company policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing, distribution, or product-based environment
Solid understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, accruals, and financial controls
Comfort working in ERP and financial systems
Experience with OneStream and Infor is a plus
Experience with systems such as XA, BaaN, Syteline, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Epicor, SAP, or similar platforms
Exposure to rebates, sales deductions, intercompany transactions, or sales tax support
A continuous improvement mindset and interest in making processes more efficient
Strong communication skills and the confidence to work cross-functionally with non-finance partners
