About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the development and optimisation of neural‑network‑based models for on‑board processing.
Contribute to dataset preparation, preprocessing, and evaluation workflows.
Assist in prototyping machine‑learning algorithms in Python (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.).
Participate in model optimisation for embedded or resource‑constrained hardware.
Help integrate,test and benchmark AI algorithms on experimental on‑board computing platforms/accelerators (such as Neuromorphic or FPGA-based).
Document technical results and support internal reviews.
Work under the guidance of senior engineers in the Orbital-HPC team.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master‑level background (on-going or completed) in Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, AI, Data Science, or related field.
Familiarity with machine learning or deep learning concepts, computer vision frameworks, model optimization and quantization.
Advanced experience with Python and ML libraries.
Ability to work in Linux/Unix environments.
Basic experience with C/C++ or embedded platforms.
Interest in Neuromorphic computing.
Good analytical and communication skills.
Very good English.
