About the role
- Preparation of financial statements for public sector clients in accordance with applicable legislation
- Development of financial reports and other deliverables aligned with project-specific contractual and operational requirements
- Handling accounting and tax-related inquiries from both clients and team members, providing targeted advisory support
- Supervision and guidance of a 7-member accounting team, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high-quality deliverables
- Advisory support on accounting matters
- Continuous monitoring of updates in public sector accounting legislation
- Management of client and public authority communications
- Ensuring adherence to deadlines and conducting quality control checks across the team
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a consulting firm and/or public sector entities
- Excellent command of accounting software and ERP systems
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIA, CMA, Dip.IFRS, Cert.IPSAS) will be considered a plus
- In-depth knowledge of Public Sector Accounting will be considered an asset
- Certified Accountant License (Class A) will be considered a plus
- Proficiency in MS Windows and Office applications
- Strong communication skills and team spirit
