About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own project-level accounting for assigned projects, including reviewing and validating invoice coding and project allocation
  • Partner with Accounts Payable on invoice and payment support
  • Coordinate project financing draw packages as the accounting point of contact
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Finance, Development, Construction, Operations, and Procurement across a multi-entity organization
  • Prepare and own monthly and quarterly project reconciliations
  • Improve processes, controls, and supporting documentation
  • Document and improve accounting processes and procedures
  • Prepare internal and external project-level reporting
  • Support month-end close and financial audits
  • Recommend procedural improvements to ensure accounting and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as requested

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience demonstrating an understanding of accounting practices and procedures
  • 2-4 years of general accounting experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Ramp, Expensify, Corpay, and/or Sage Intacct or similar platforms preferred
  • Experience working on multiple projects/developments simultaneously
  • Ability to adhere to monthly, quarterly, and annual department-driven deadlines
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and good time management skills
  • Confidentiality and integrity
  • Eagerness to take ownership, bring ideas to improve processes, and grow within a fast-moving environment
