About the role
- Develops and implements comprehensive environmental and sustainability programs in accordance with legal requirements
- Conduct Environmental Assessments, site audits, inspections
- Maintain and continuously improve comprehensive emergency preparedness and response plans
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with local first responders and regulatory agencies
- Organize and conduct pertinent training programs for employees
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes
- Ensure that the organization complies with local, state, and federal regulations
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science or a related field
- 5 years’ previous industry experience in environmental and/or safety work required
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, data analysis, and engineering principles related to environmental science
- Willingness to travel, as needed, to support site risk assessments, audits and training
