About the role

  • Develops and implements comprehensive environmental and sustainability programs in accordance with legal requirements
  • Conduct Environmental Assessments, site audits, inspections
  • Maintain and continuously improve comprehensive emergency preparedness and response plans
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with local first responders and regulatory agencies
  • Organize and conduct pertinent training programs for employees
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes
  • Ensure that the organization complies with local, state, and federal regulations

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science or a related field
  • 5 years’ previous industry experience in environmental and/or safety work required
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, data analysis, and engineering principles related to environmental science
  • Willingness to travel, as needed, to support site risk assessments, audits and training
