About the role
- Negotiate design and engineering standards with external counterparties
- Coordinate with different teams (e.g., development, origination, construction) to ensure alignment with project goals
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Serve as liaison between project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Facilitate meetings and resolve conflicts or issues promptly
- Own relationship with third party engineers of record; review detailed civil, structural, and electrical engineering design packages, and ensure compliance with Jupiter’s technical specifications
- Conduct development site visits to support site constructability evaluation, landowner meetings, permitting hearings, and community outreach events
- Participate in on-site meetings involving counterparties and local government bodies such as planning commissions, fire departments, and others as needed
- Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the optimization of workflows
- Apply lessons learned from completed projects to improve future project outcomes
- Create single-line diagrams and project general layouts for various departments and projects with the use of AutoCAD
- Collaborate with manufacturers to make sure our project designs and assumptions make use of the latest specifications
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with a passion for public speaking and community engagement
Requirements
- 0-2 years in the energy industry, preferably working with the development and operation of new facilities
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field, preferable Civil and Electrical
- Ability to multi-task and manage deliverables for multiple projects at a time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to work in a dynamic environment alongside people with varied interests and backgrounds
- Proficient in navigating AutoCAD
- Willingness to travel, as needed, to support development, conferences and training
