About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take end-to-end ownership of people operations in a fully remote law firm
Run day-to-day people operations and build them into scalable systems
Handle sensitive one-to-one conversations with care
Own new-starter onboarding flows end to end
Be the first point of contact for managers and handle absence and leave administration
Own HR system and configure workflows
Draft and track routine employee paperwork
Identify things to automate and support managers through light-touch training

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on experience using Claude, ChatGPT or similar AI tools to build and improve operational processes
Ability to run sensitive conversations with empathy
Sound judgment on sensitive and confidential issues
Basic understanding of employment law is ideal but not essential
Experience in a people team or high-growth environment is ideal but not essential
