About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides coordination of courtroom proceedings
- Performs a variety of specialized legal clerical support duties related to Juvenile Court division
- Interacts directly with the public, attorneys, case managers, court staff, and other agency staff
- Prepares courtroom for hearings and manages courtroom during proceedings
- Prepares e-courtroom equipment and runs equipment during hearings
- Assists victims and the State during proceedings
- Utilizes court system to determine case parties' presence and obtain information
- Prepares files for the court, reviews motions for accuracy and compliance
- Performs critical data entry of hearing outcomes into the court system
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferably in a court or legal environment
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, iCIS, multi-line telephone systems, and copy/fax machine
- Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
- Knowledge of legal research methods and techniques
- Knowledge of court policies, procedures, and operations
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
