About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You are responsible for the technical design and optimization of our stationary battery storage systems (20–500 MW)
You analyze the interaction between batteries, inverters, transformer, cooling, EMS and other system components
You assess and define system designs regarding performance, efficiency, lifetime and degradation
You quickly identify technical issues and resolve them in a structured manner through troubleshooting and fault analyses
You actively support commissioning activities and ensure our systems are brought online stably
You work closely with manufacturers, suppliers and internal teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in electrical engineering, power engineering or a comparable qualification
Several years of experience (5+ years) in battery storage, inverters or energy systems
Deep technical understanding of battery technologies, power electronics and system integration
Experience with manufacturers, operators or EPCs in the BESS environment is a clear advantage
Knowledge of grid connections, regulatory requirements (VDE-AR-N 4110/4120) and operational strategies for storage systems
Experience in commissioning medium-voltage installations
Experience with EMS, SCADA systems, InfluxDB, Grafana or similar platforms
Regular presence in Munich for coordination and project work
Fluent German and very good English
