About the role

  • You manage the strategic procurement of key components and services for battery storage projects (e.g., battery systems, PCS, transformers, switchgear, EMS/SCADA, as well as EPC and BoP services)
  • You develop category and supplier strategies that take into account global supply chains, raw material markets and regulatory requirements
  • You independently run international tenders (RFQ/RFP) and evaluate bids both technically and commercially
  • You negotiate complex project and framework agreements, including delivery terms, warranties, availability commitments and contractual penalties
  • You identify supply chain risks early and develop appropriate hedging and procurement strategies
  • As a partner to our technical departments, you bring purchasing expertise to specifications, awarding processes and decision-making
  • You actively contribute to building scalable procurement processes, tools and structures for our growing project portfolio

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering, industrial engineering, business administration or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in technical procurement, project procurement or category management—ideally in the energy, infrastructure or industrial sector
  • Good understanding of electrical components, systems or infrastructure projects and a solid grasp of technical interrelationships
  • Experience in contract negotiations, price analysis, supplier management and commercial procurement decisions
  • Analytical thinking, a structured way of working and strong negotiation skills
  • Strong communication skills and a confident manner with internal and external stakeholders
  • Occasional willingness to travel to our Munich site
  • Fluent German and strong English skills
