About the role

  • Develop, maintain and optimize financial models to evaluate projects, investments and M&A initiatives (IRR, NPV, cash flow analyses)
  • Create and manage business cases across all project phases – from early development through operational phase
  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to make the financial impacts of strategic decisions transparent
  • Analyze CapEx, OpEx and revenue structures and identify key value drivers
  • Work closely with the Development, Delivery, Finance and Trading teams on economic and strategic topics
  • Support medium- and long-term business planning and the optimization of our investment decision processes
  • Prepare decision papers and management reporting based on your model analyses

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Financial Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or Energy Economics
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in financial modelling, corporate finance, investment banking or consulting, ideally with an energy or infrastructure focus
  • Solid understanding of investment and financing logic, cash flow analyses and valuation methodologies
  • Confident user of Excel, with experience building scenario and valuation models; knowledge of Power BI, Python or SQL is an advantage
  • Experience collaborating with private equity or financial investors desirable
  • Analytical mindset, structured working style and high degree of personal responsibility
  • Strong communication skills, team-oriented and pragmatic in execution
  • Fluent German and advanced English, both written and spoken
