About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain and update GIS fiber network data using ArcGIS Pro and QGIS, incorporating field audits, as-builts, and construction drawings
  • Digitize and edit vector data to meet project-specific standards and ensure spatial accuracy
  • Create basic network maps and reports supporting planning, permitting, and engineering phases
  • Transform and tailor geospatial data from public sources and across formats for project needs
  • Apply geoprocessing tools and perform QC/QA checks to ensure data integrity and topological correctness
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and GIS teams to meet deadlines and maintain JSI standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1-3+ years of GIS experience
  • Certificate or degree in GIS, engineering, or a related field
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail
