About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain and update GIS fiber network data using ArcGIS Pro and QGIS, incorporating field audits, as-builts, and construction drawings
Digitize and edit vector data to meet project-specific standards and ensure spatial accuracy
Create basic network maps and reports supporting planning, permitting, and engineering phases
Transform and tailor geospatial data from public sources and across formats for project needs
Apply geoprocessing tools and perform QC/QA checks to ensure data integrity and topological correctness
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and GIS teams to meet deadlines and maintain JSI standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

1-3+ years of GIS experience
Certificate or degree in GIS, engineering, or a related field
Proficient computer skills
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong problem-solving skills
High level of attention to detail
