About the role
- Responsible for planning, designing, documenting, and permitting proposed new outside plant FTTx build-outs.
- Collaborate with other members of the Fiber Design & Implementation Engineering team to produce high-quality deliverables for buried, underground, and aerial fiber applications.
Requirements
- A minimum of six (6) years’ experience in telecom engineering and design is required.
- Experience with Active E and XGSPON FTTH designs is required.
- Working knowledge of GIS systems such as ArcGIS/QGIS/Google Earth, etc.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD-based software.
- Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for Telecom/FFTx OSP construction.
- Intermediate skills in essential programs like Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to work overtime.
- US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status.
- HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Post-secondary degree in Engineering, GIS, or related fields preferred.
