About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across all building systems
- Operate, maintain, and repair mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and associated equipment
- Record equipment readings and system parameters, make adjustments, and identify potential issues
- Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors
- Manage facility services, purchasing, inventory control, contracted maintenance coordination, and general maintenance tasks
- Check tool and instrument inventory and ensure equipment is maintained and ready for use
- Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems, including ballast replacement
- Maintain and repair plumbing fixtures and operate drain cleaning augers
- Comply with hazardous-material storage, usage, and disposal policies while maintaining a clean and safe workplace
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems
- Ability to analyze industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems, diagnose problems or malfunctions, and take corrective action
- Working knowledge of CMMS, such as Corrigo
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Physical ability to bend, sit, kneel, squat, stand, reach, and lie as required to access equipment components for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, sunlight, rain, cold, daylight, and nighttime hours
- EPA 608 Type II Certification or higher for refrigerant handling (preferred)
- Additional EPA certifications, with Universal certification preferred (preferred)
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and CMMS (preferred)
- Trade certifications or technical school training in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing disciplines (preferred)
- Experience in mission-critical facilities or environments requiring 24/7 operations (preferred)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
