About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair-response work orders on facility systems, equipment, and components
- Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interiors/exteriors, and related grounds
- Conduct facility inspections and due diligence, reporting conditions affecting client occupancy and operations
- Respond effectively to emergencies
- Prepare summary reports for management and recommend actions
- Become familiar with building automation, fire/life safety, and other building-related equipment
- Comply with safety procedures, housekeeping requirements, and applicable state, county, and city codes
- Support after-hours building-related activities as required
- Perform other operational tasks expected of a Mobile Engineer
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid state driver’s license
- Universal CFC recovery certification
- Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering
- Strong technical background in packaged HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment repair and maintenance
- Knowledge of overall system design and application
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders up to 30 ft.
- Willingness and ability to perform on-call duties and overtime as required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Preferred: experience managing work orders using CMMS technology
- Preferred: experience in a service-related role specific to commercial facilities
- Preferred: 06A or 07 license
