About the role
- Support a newly secured oil and gas client account in Calgary
- Maintain annual budgets and quarterly forecasting activities
- Develop revenue and expense analyses and other business analyses
- Produce regular and ad-hoc reporting including internal documents, reports, graphs, charts and presentations
- Develop efficient reporting strategies including automation and simplification of reporting processes while preserving data integrity
- Identify tactical and strategic opportunities, gaps and financial risks through collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Lead the strategic planning, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 5+ years relevant experience in accounting and finance
- Proficiency in ERP accounting applications required
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Strong MS Access and database skills
- Prior use of systems and tools used to extract and analyze data
