About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of building maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of facilities.
- Proficiency with commercial door repairs to include electrified locks, panic hardware, mortise systems, and automatic/manual sliding doors is preferred
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Perform general building maintenance including property interior and exterior carpentry, drywall, light electrical, light plumbing and painting
- Assist with HVAC systems maintenance and repairs
- Conduct regular inspections of premises and equipment
- Complete assigned work orders in CMMS and maintains appropriate service documentation
- Assist the engineering team in the maintenance and repair of building systems and equipment
- Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergency response
- Respond to facility emergencies, system failures, and urgent maintenance issues outside normal business hours
- Maintain readiness to address critical building system malfunctions
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. Citizenship
- Minimum of 3 years of applicable working experience in general building repairs and maintenance in a commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environment
- Experience with preventative maintenance procedures
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and software such as MS Office, Slack, and email
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools
