Assistant Technician Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in managing the on-site team of technicians, including work allocation, scheduling, and providing daily guidance and on-the-job training.
- Oversee the execution of the hard service scope within the field office , ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems are maintained in optimal condition.
- Assist in planning and implementing preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to minimize equipment downtime and disruptions.
- Provide senior-level technical support and hands-on troubleshooting for complex issues that cannot be resolved by the team.
- Assist in managing the full lifecycle of building assets, from installation to disposal.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment, spare parts, and tools, and ensure proper record-keeping.
- Lead or support various technical projects , such as equipment upgrades, system replacements, or office fit-outs.
- Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with company safety policies and local regulatory requirements.
- Assist in preparing regular operational reports, maintenance logs, and incident reports.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical), Facility Management, or a related technical field is typically required.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in hard services maintenance, with some proven experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity & program management.
- In-depth understanding of MEP systems, handyman cases, asset management principles, and project execution.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Capable of leading a team and making effective decisions under pressure.
