About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead regional facility operations with direct oversight of MEP&F system maintenance and reliability across multiple sites
- Champion a safety-first culture by establishing safe work protocols for MEP&F maintenance activities, ensuring regulatory compliance with local jurisdictions, and maintaining current certifications and training across all engineering personnel
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for critical building systems including HVAC/VRF systems, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, generators, UPS systems, electrical distribution, plumbing infrastructure, and fire protection systems
- Manage third-party service providers, contractors, and vendors providing MEP&F maintenance services
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) specific to MEP&F systems
- Interface with clients, JLL leadership, engineering teams, suppliers, consultants, and specialized MEP&F vendors on technical matters, system performance, and capital improvement initiatives
- Lead engineering projects focused on system upgrades, energy optimization, and operational improvements
- Ensure appropriate allocation of technical resources and verify timely completion of maintenance work orders
- Plan and execute scheduled maintenance shutdowns for major MEP&F equipment at each facility
- Leverage CMMS data and system performance metrics to identify trends, develop insights, and drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability, energy consumption, and operational efficiency
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of progressive experience in facilities engineering with demonstrated expertise in MEP&F system maintenance and troubleshooting
- Technical proficiency with HVAC/VRF systems, mechanical systems (chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps), electrical systems (generators, UPS, distribution equipment), and plumbing/fire protection infrastructure
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical system failures requiring analytical assessment and technical judgment
- Experience managing multi-site facilities or regional engineering operations
- Strong knowledge of CMMS/work order management platforms for maintenance tracking and asset management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism during emergency situations and equipment failures
- Flexibility to work after hours, weekends, and holidays for emergency response and planned shutdowns
- Ability to travel regularly throughout VT, NH, RI, ME, MA, CT, and NY State (regional coverage area)
