About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate, maintain, and repair Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and associated equipment
- Record equipment readings and system parameters
- Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors
- Maintain responsibility for facility services, purchasing and inventory control
- Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory
- Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems
- Perform maintenance and repairs on plumbing fixtures
- Comply with departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems
- Ability to analyze the operation of various industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Working knowledge of CMMS (i.e. Corrigo)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Physical ability to bend, sit, kneel, squat, stand, reach, and lay as required to access equipment components
- Ability to work exposed to varying environmental conditions including heat, sunlight, rain, cold, and both daylight and nighttime hours
- EPA 608 Type II Certification or higher for refrigerant handling (preferred)
- Additional EPA certifications (Universal certification preferred) (preferred)
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) (preferred)
- Trade certifications or technical school training in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing disciplines (preferred)
