About the role

  • Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems to maintain 100% Up-time including fire/life safety, mechanical (HVAC, chillers, CRAC, CRAH, plumbing, controls), electrical (lighting, UPS, ATS, STS, PDU, generators, primary switchgear, power distribution, transformers), and hot water systems
  • Monitor operation, adjust, and maintain refrigeration, chilled water, air conditioning equipment, boilers, ventilating and water heaters, pumps, valves, piping, and filters
  • Record readings and make adjustments as necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment
  • Analyze operation of systems, determine causes of problems/malfunctions and take corrective action
  • Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials and maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Learn and understand the data center site to manage incidents and events that put critical systems at risk
  • Manage work orders using CMMS, coordinate vendor management, and handle customer-facing tickets
  • Understand and comply with emergency escalation procedures and respond to site emergencies
  • Perform additional job duties as required

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience working in a data center/critical facility
  • Experience with building systems including UPS systems, emergency generators, and switchgears
  • Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Suite and CMMS
  • Ability to analyze system operations, troubleshoot malfunctions and take corrective action
  • Ability to record readings and make necessary adjustments
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, chillers, CRAC, CRAH, plumbing, controls
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 30 ft; climb ladder with 300-lb weight limit
  • Must be able to work different schedules, holidays, and respond to site emergencies
  • Comply with safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
  • Work order management, CMMS, vendor management, and customer-facing tickets
  • Preferred: Corrigo experience
  • Preferred: Universal EPA 608 certification
  • Preferred: Trained in NFPA70E
