Conduct independent site inspections, audits, and compliance verification across assigned projects, providing qualitative field intelligence that complements data-driven reporting.
Verify implementation, provide technical guidance, and report findings—not to perform project teams' HSSE responsibilities for them.
Provide technical HSSE guidance to Project Managers and site teams; support escalations and incident investigations; engage subcontractors on compliance; participate in toolbox talks and mentor junior staff.
Build collaborative relationships with project teams and clients; support HSSE documentation and reporting; act as a practical partner rather than enforcement officer.
Identify trends and systemic issues; contribute to framework development; stay current with legislation and best practices.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 4 years' HSE experience in construction/property with demonstrated site-based delivery.
Tertiary qualification or diploma in WHS; solid knowledge of Australian WHS legislation across jurisdictions.
Strong interpersonal skills to influence without authority.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Relevant certifications (First Aid, White Card); ISO 45001 knowledge.
Security clearance eligibility for government work.
