About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and execute comprehensive commissioning activities across all project phases including design, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction.
  • Demonstrate fluency with commissioning processes and deliverables per ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED requirements.
  • Develop robust Commissioning Plans and Specifications while implementing electrical and EPMS QA/QC inspection programs for complex facility projects.
  • Conduct field-based commissioning activities including site visits, startup witnessing, functional testing, and integrated systems testing.
  • Manage end-to-end project documentation including preparation, review, and issuance of commissioning deliverables.
  • Write detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Methods of Procedures (MOPs).
  • Chair commissioning meetings and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Protect JLL's contractual position and ensure all work meets contracted requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent (Engineering degree preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant MEP engineering and/or field-testing experience
  • Minimum 5 years providing building commissioning and/or construction QA/QC field services
  • Expert knowledge of commissioning processes per ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED standards
  • Working knowledge of MEP equipment/systems installation, startup, pre-functional testing, inspections, and acceptance testing
  • Proficiency using electrical testing meters and equipment including Power Quality Meters, thermography, NETA tests, ground tests, hi-pot, megger
  • Knowledge and experience testing utility transformers, UPS systems, generators, automated paralleling switchgear, ATSs, STSs, fuel oil systems, PDUs, EPMS, and electrical power generation/distribution systems
  • Proficiency with calibrated testing equipment (flow hoods, anemometers, pitot tubes, IR cameras, various meters)
  • Proficiency in QA/QC and commissioning software: BIM360, CxAlloy, Facility Grid
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Word, and Excel
  • Strong data management skills
  • Work fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese
